Kingwood-area Moms: Summer Camp Recommendations?
  
 

We live in Kingwood and my 6 year old son will be starting 1st Grade at Kingwood Elementary.  He's currently enrolled in a full-day Kindergarten in another town, which has summer camp, but I'd like him to start at a new summer camp this summer (2011) so that he can get to know some of the kids in Kingwood.  Where do you send your elementatary-age children to summer camp?  Many thanks for your responses!

There were two good ones last year that were fun for the kids and not too expensive.  One was hosted by the Milford school.  Lots of local kids took part.  They had a wide variety of activities to choose from.  Also the Whitmore Wildlife Sanctuary had several fun nature camps in the Frenchtown Park.  There was a post about them on this site-though I didn't read it. Both good for your child's age group.

Thank you so much for your response!  I probably should've clarified now that I re-read my message :).  I'd need full-time extended all day camp (i.e.7AM-6PM) 5 days a week.  We're now narrowing it down to Camp Carr and Camp Winnewald, both in Flemington.  Thanks!
