Want your children to have a fun, hands-on learning experience in nature this fall? Register today for fall nature programs, run by the Roving Nature Center at the Whittemore Wildlife Sanctuary in Oldwick.

" I love the whole concept of the program, especially because it's geared towards children at such a young age and helps them to begin appreciating nature and our world early on. The instructors were all great, they worked well with the children and had patience. The site is beautiful, love the proximity to the pond, garden and stream."

Most of the fall programs are brand new and we've expanded our age range to include toddlers (with parents) and middle schoolers. Programs start in August and go until December. Some are single sessions and some multi. They are all run by an experienced naturalist. This year we are offering early sign up and multi sign up discounts.


Topics include:
For ages 1-3: Froggie Fridays, Nature Sensory Walks and Mammal Mondays!

For ages 4-6: Kinderkapers, the Stream Team, Froggie Friday, Water Wednesday, Bird Bonanza, Hungry Worms, Dino Day, Mammal Monday, Treasure Hunt, Become a Bug and Color Crazy!

For ages 7-9: Water Wednesday, Hungry Worms, the Stream Team, Eco Crafts, Mammal Monday, Animals Explorers and the Junior Scientist Club!

For ages 10-13: The Stream Team, Eco Crafts, the Survivalists and Animals of the Night!

The Friends of Whittemore T/A The Roving Nature Center is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization whose sole purpose is outdoor education. We also run summer day camps throughout PA/NJ, scouting events, birthday parties, field trips, in-school programs and much more. The sanctuary is open all day for hiking, so feel free to stop by!
