2014-2015 Kindergarten Registration in Tewksbury Township

If you are the parent/guardian of a child eligible for Kindergarten, or know of any township residents with eligible kindergarten children for the 2014-2015 school year, please note the following:

2014-2015 KINDERGARTEN REGISTRATION WILL TAKE PLACE DURING

THE MONTH OF FEBRUARY

Registration documents are available on our website at www.tewksburyschools.org.  Select Tewksbury Elementary School.  Under Site Shortcuts, select Registration Document and also Medical Forms.  These can also be picked up in the main office.  The registration documents need to be brought to the school between 8:30 and 4:30 during the month of February. 

Please bring the following with you to register:
1. Birth Certificate:  You must bring your childs original birth certificate showing that he/she is five years old on or before October 1, 2014.  A copy of this will be made in the school office and kept on file.
2. Completed Registration Forms:  Please bring the completed registration forms including immunization records for measles, mumps, rubella, DPT, polio (including one dose of DPT and polio vaccine on or after the childs fourth birthday), varivax, hepatitis B, and HIB vaccinations.
3. Proof of Residency:  Please bring your Deed, Lease or Residential Tax Bill as proof of residency in Tewksbury Township and two of the following:  NJ Drivers License, Utility Bill, Voter Registration Card.

KINDERGARTEN SCREENING:  Kindergarten screenings are short assessments completed with the incoming students and the Kindergarten teachers and school nurse.  These will be scheduled by appointment only for April 30, May 1, or May 2.  To make an appointment, please contact Mrs. Eileen Callahan, Principals Secretary, Tewksbury Elementary School at 908-832-2594 x2001 or ecallahan@tewksburyschools.org.

KINDERGARTEN STUDENT ORIENTATION:  There will be an orientation for incoming Kindergarten students on Friday, June 6, 2014, from 12:30 to 2:00 PM.  Simultaneously we will have a parents informational session in our Library.
